Q: What's up the new linking policy at Geocities?
A: Geocities no longer allows direct links to files from other web sites. Links to wallpaper graphics or zip files will just bring up the Geocities default error page when they're called from any other web site that isn't Geocities. If you're using Geocities, and submitting a link from there, please make sure it's not a direct one to a graphic or file.
The best way to get around this, is put the wallpaper image or file you'd like to submit on a regular web page, then submit that page to us. When visitors click through to the preview page, they'll be downloading the file from preview page on Geocities.
