Q: How can I tell what monitor resolution my system is set to?
A: Your monitor or screen resolution is the amount of space you see on your monitor (width + height). The higher the resolution the more you can fit onto your screen.
The most common resolutions are 640x480 (older systems), 800x600 (very popular), 1024x768 (common) and 1152x864.

Newer versions of Windows and Mac allow you to "stretch" or "fit" the wallpaper onto your screen, no matter what size it is. This can result in a blurred or blocky wallpaper image though. Look around in your system control panel for these options and play around with them until you find the best one for your needs.
