We cannot link to fan sites that provide free wallpaper images and screen savers which supposedly "exploits the name, likeness or image" of Cindy Margolis. We also cannot accept any general Cindy Margolis fan site links.

A message from Cindy's people at "APIC-WORLDWIDE": "Celebrity sites will soon be past tense as Webmasters learn of the legal ramifications of abusing the rights of others. The Internet has manifested many myths about what is and is not acceptable use. - APIC-WORLDWIDE". Sounds like they're out to try and close down every site they think is "abusing" the rights of the celebrities. Clean fan sites included. They've got quite a fight in front of them if they're going to try and shut down every celebrity related site on the web. Good luck.

On the page that used to be here, we provided a total of 5 links (including a link to Cindy's official site) that lead to other sites which provided free wallpaper images, screen savers, and themes created by fans of Cindy. There was also a classy image of Cindy from the AllPosters affiliate site (which sells official posters of Cindy, and gave us permission to use the image). That was enough to get us a legal notice, so we can only imagine what type of notices the bigger fan sites (with many pages and images) have gotten. Nonetheless, we've removed this page and advise others who have Cindy Margolis pages to do the same, if they wish. No point getting into a legal battle with your favorite celebrity (of all people!) just because you posted a picture of them on your web site.

We've always supported the celebrity fight to protect their image on the internet, especially from the sleazy XXX sites that try to cash in by creating fake nude images, or posting stills from nude scenes in movies. It's a sad day, however, when non-nude sites that simply link to other sites, and fan sites that help promote someone by providing news and a few images for fans to enjoy, get lumped in with the sleaze.

Anyway, there are MANY fan friendly celebrities in Hollywood, modeling and music that actually appreciate, encourage, and even link to the great sites their dedicated fans have created for them on the internet. So not EVERYONE is out to shut down every site that uses a photo or mentions their name. Therefore, celebrity sites will NOT all "soon be past tense", as some think will happen.
